THE STORY
In the early years, coal from the Star Mine was hauled to a tipple across the river by aerial cable. Although now a part of Rosedale, this community was then known as Aerial. Once the CPR extended their line across the river, the unneeded tramway was converted to a bridge for the miners to commute to work. Today, it’s been upgraded and maintained to make it safer for those who want to venture across in their footsteps.
